TON COOLEN

CEO and founder

Saddle Point Science Europe BV is led by Ton Coolen. Following a PhD in Theoretical Physics (1990, Utrecht) he worked at the University of Oxford until 1995, when he moved to King's College London. There he became Professor of Applied Mathematics in 2000, and Head of the Institute for Mathematical and Molecular Biomedicine in 2012. In 2016 he created Saddle Point Science Ltd. In 2019 he left the UK following Brexit, to become Professor of Machine Learning for Medicine at Radboud University in Nijmegen and to create Saddle Point Science Europe.

THEODORE NIKOLETOPOULOS

CSO

After a PhD in Applied Mathematics (2004, London), Theodore worked for several years as Quantitative Analyst and Software Developer in London and Athens, before coming to The Netherlands (2021, Radboud University Nijmegen) to work on medical data analytics and inference projects using Bayesian Inference and Deep Learning techniques. He was recently recruited to join Saddle Point Science Europe as Chief Science Officer.
